An American in London

So, I’m all packed up and ready to go and I can’t believe the day is here! Last semester flew by - as college has, in general - and in 24-hours I will be on a plane to London for the next five moths to study abroad. I’m so incredibly excited, but I am a little nervous…and for me to feel nervous actually takes a lot. This is the first time I will be travelling anywhere alone by plane, and it’s a foreign country on top of that. I expect it’ll be a great learning experience, as well as an opportunity to grow and become more independent, which is always nice ;P I’m also a little nervous because of the snow situation, however. I heard a lot of flights have been cancelled at Heathrow, though most of them have been British Airways, which I am not flying, so I guess that helps? I checked my flight information and it still seems to be on schedule…and hopefully it’ll stay that way! *knocks on wood* I’m also taking a red-eye, and technically land Monday morning with the 7-hour flight and 5-hour difference, so I think I should be fine. On the off chance that it doesn’t and I have to sit around and wait, I have two movies on my iPod, my laptop, and a bunch of books on my nook, and chargers galore (yes, I have a nook, and right now, when I’m trying to keep what I put into my carry-on bags to a minimum, it’s the best electronic device EVER. haha)
I should try to get some sleep now, though. Goodnight and expect my next post to either be from
A) a stranded Krissy at Newark airport
B) from my room in London
Goodnight!
